On 6 November 2025, during celebrations marking 30 years of Mastercard’s presence in Poland, the company’s management announced a decision to further expand its operations in the country. This marks an important step toward strengthening Mastercard’s footprint in Poland and supporting the development of the financial and business services sectors. It is also a clear sign of trust and a long-term partnership.
Mastercard and PAIH Jointly Supporting the Development of Digital Payments in Poland
For three decades, Mastercard has consistently invested in the Polish market, supporting the development of payment infrastructure, fintech technologies, and human capital. Over the years, the company has been an active partner in numerous local initiatives. In cooperation with the public sector and Polish financial institutions, it has contributed to the growth of digital payments and modern financial solutions.
PAIH has had the opportunity to cooperate with Mastercard across multiple areas. Strong relationships and shared objectives make the announced expansion particularly significant.
New Hubs in Poland
Mastercard has chosen to grow in two key locations in Poland: Warsaw and Gdańsk, with each hub serving a distinct role.
The Warsaw hub will focus on strategic consulting, data analytics, marketing, and market research. It will deliver a broad range of professional services supporting Mastercard’s clients on multiple levels.
The Gdańsk hub will become a center for technological and financial innovation. Teams there will work on cutting-edge solutions in fintech and open banking, leveraging advanced digital technologies.
Currently, both locations employ more than 100 people, with plans to increase employment to over 300 highly specialized positions by the end of 2028.
The two centers will work closely together, combining analytical, advisory, and technological expertise. This integrated approach will enable Mastercard to further develop its offering across Central and Eastern Europe, while strengthening Poland’s position as an attractive destination for innovative investments.
Supporting Innovative Business
PAIH supports the inflow of foreign investment into Poland and contributes to expanding the presence of companies already operating in the modern business services and technology sectors. Cooperation between PAIH and Mastercard is an excellent example of dialogue between public administration and business on the need to invest in the development of digital and financial competencies. Its objective is to strengthen Poland’s competitiveness both today and in the future.
PAIH
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) closed 2025 with an impressive record of achievements in the area of direct investment support. The Agency successfully finalized 64 investment projects with a total declared value exceeding EUR 4 billion, generating more than 6,600 declared jobs.
