Representatives of public administration and business from both countries met during the Business Seminar “Doing Business in Egypt – Investment and Trade”, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The event provided an opportunity to establish new partnerships and discuss concrete opportunities to tap into the potential of one of Africa’s most important markets.
The seminar was opened by PAIH President Andrzej Dycha and the Ambassador of Egypt to Poland, H.E. Ahmed Samy Elansary. They highlighted the strategic importance of Polish-Egyptian relations and their future development, both in terms of mutual investment and trade. Participants also learned about Egypt’s investment incentive system and the specific support instruments offered by PAIH, presented by Katarzyna Szczot from the Export Support Department.
An important part of the meeting included insights from practitioners. Polish companies already operating in Egypt shared their experiences, demonstrating that Egypt offers not only promising forecasts but also real projects and tangible results. Feerum has invested in a facility producing components for grain silos, while Fruitful has launched operations in the freeze-dried food production sector. Both projects are being implemented with PAIH support.
Egypt ranks among the three largest economies in Africa, and according to IMF forecasts its GDP is expected to approach USD 400 billion in 2026. Rapid development in infrastructure, energy, and logistics is strengthening the country’s position as a regional investment hub.
For Poland, Egypt is a key partner in North Africa and one of the most important directions for cooperation in the Arab world — a fact clearly confirmed by the Warsaw seminar.
Companies interested in expanding their activities in the Egyptian market are encouraged to contact the Foreign Trade Office in Cairo.
