Poland conducted its largest-ever economic mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh from February 7–9, 2026. The delegation included nearly 70 representatives from key sectors of the Polish economy, as well as officials from public administration and development institutions, including the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) led by its President, Andrzej Dycha. The mission was headed by Poland’s Minister of Finance and Economy, Andrzej Domański.
Saudi Arabia, implementing its visionary Vision 2030 economic transformation program, remains one of the most promising markets for Polish companies, both in terms of exports and long-term investment projects. The Kingdom regards Poland as a leading growth economy in the European Union and a reliable investment partner.
During the intensive program in Riyadh, the Polish delegation held dozens of B2B meetings, consultations with the Saudi Minister of Investment, H.E. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, and discussions with the Minister of Trade, H.E. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi. They also engaged with representatives of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the National Development Fund (NDF). A key highlight of the mission was the Saudi-Polish Investment Forum, bringing together business and institutional leaders from both countries.
The Polish delegation represented diverse sectors, including energy, ICT, fintech, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, food production, agritech, and dual-use technologies — showcasing Poland’s export and innovation potential.
From PAIH’s perspective, the mission was particularly successful in establishing relationships with real potential to translate into concrete contracts and projects. The Saudi market is relationship-driven, where trust, consistency, and a long-term approach are essential. Saudi Arabia has also been steadily building a more predictable and investor-friendly regulatory environment, facilitating market entry for foreign businesses.
Two key memoranda of cooperation were signed during the mission, setting new directions for economic relations between Poland and Saudi Arabia. The first focuses on supporting the export of goods, services, and investments, as well as jointly promoting projects of significant economic importance to both countries. The second aims to strengthen collaboration between business organizations in both countries and create support systems for entities seeking to develop and expand business contacts.
In 2024, Polish exports to Saudi Arabia amounted to approximately USD 806 million, while imports from Saudi Arabia reached about USD 8.52 billion. The record-breaking mission confirmed that Polish-Saudi cooperation is entering a new phase — evolving from growing trade to a partnership based on joint projects, investments, and technology transfer. From machinery and food products to engineering and IT services, as well as advanced energy and digital solutions, the potential for collaboration remains vast.
For PAIH, the Riyadh mission represented another important step in its strategic goal of supporting the expansion of Polish companies into non-EU markets. Since 2018, PAIH has been assisting Polish entrepreneurs in safely and effectively developing their presence in Saudi Arabia. The PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Riyadh provides ongoing support in market analysis, business relationship building, and navigating the Saudi legal and institutional landscape.
