Advent International Fund can invest even billion euros in health protection in Central and Eastern Europe. Yesterday, fund’s representatives officially informed that they bought a minority shareholding in American Heart of Poland Company. This private net of mid-size medical clinics (96 million zlotys of income in 2009) concentrates on curing heart and vascular diseases. It is also an owner of Spa in Ustron, bought last year from the Treasury.
The Fund has not revealed the amount of transaction, nor a size of share bought. It is known only that it is a minority interest, because owners - group of doctors from USA are not going to sell the control over the company. Advent will be the only private equity fund that was involved in company. Advent International’s representatives say only that lower bound of investment in medical industry in Central and Eastern Europe is 100 million zlotys. Upper one is 1 billion euros.
Advent International that manages World-wide funds over 38 billion zlotys, from which 4 billion is invested in Central Europe, has already realized two transactions in medical care. It bought from Royal Bank of Scotland a net of 66 sites psychological placements and Ukrainian fecundity clinics Isida, that specialize in infertility treatment. American Heart of Poland offers services in diagnosis and heart-disease treatment. It already has invested over 300 million zlotys in infrastructure and medical technologies.
We have signed a contract for the design and expansion of National Road No. 25 on the section between Zbiersk and Kokanin. The contractor, Strabag, has 39 months from the signing date to complete the project, which is valued at PLN 484,134,160.50. Drivers will be able to use the new 18-kilometre route in the fourth quarter of 2029.
