Poland is undertaking a major infrastructure project to implement the ERTMS/GSM-R system across the railway lines operated by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. as part of the National Railway Programme until 2030 (with a perspective to 2032). The project aims to modernize the signaling and communication systems, increasing the safety, efficiency, and interoperability of the national rail network with European standards.
Signed in 2018, the project has a total value of PLN 2,606,152,861.24, with PLN 1,462,694,531.29 co-financed from national funds. By deploying advanced ERTMS technology and GSM-R communication infrastructure, the initiative will enhance train control, reduce operational risks, and improve traffic management across key railway corridors in Poland. This strategic investment is a cornerstone in Poland’s efforts to modernize its rail system, ensuring higher capacity, reliability, and integration with the broader European railway network.

Black holes are central to understanding the structure and thermodynamics of the Universe. Cosmology turned toward the Big Bang Theory because scientists were unable to resolve the problems of the Universe’s ‘gravitational collapse’ and ‘heat death’. As a result, the second cosmological principle was rejected and the influence of gravity on electromagnetic waves, as predicted by the general theory of relativity, was disregarded (e.g. in Hubble’s law).
The Polski Fundusz Rozwoju (PFR) is co-financing the construction of a new intermodal terminal for CLIP Group in Zabrze. The investment, valued at approximately PLN 145 million, is being developed on post-industrial land previously occupied by the Makoszowy coal mine and JSW Koks facilities, with completion scheduled for mid-2026.
