Poland is undertaking a major infrastructure project to implement the ERTMS/GSM-R system across the railway lines operated by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. as part of the National Railway Programme until 2030 (with a perspective to 2032). The project aims to modernize the signaling and communication systems, increasing the safety, efficiency, and interoperability of the national rail network with European standards.
Signed in 2018, the project has a total value of PLN 2,606,152,861.24, with PLN 1,462,694,531.29 co-financed from national funds. By deploying advanced ERTMS technology and GSM-R communication infrastructure, the initiative will enhance train control, reduce operational risks, and improve traffic management across key railway corridors in Poland. This strategic investment is a cornerstone in Poland’s efforts to modernize its rail system, ensuring higher capacity, reliability, and integration with the broader European railway network.

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) closed 2025 with an impressive record of achievements in the area of direct investment support. The Agency successfully finalized 64 investment projects with a total declared value exceeding EUR 4 billion, generating more than 6,600 declared jobs.

The Bill is to transpose Directive (EU) 2022/2041 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 October 2022 on adequate minimum wages in the European Union into Polish law.
The Bill:
- lays down the rules and procedure for setting and updating the minimum wage,
- appoints the Social Dialogue Council as a consultative body competent in matters related to setting and updating the minimum wage,
- regulates the reporting of the minimum wage,
- lays down the rules and procedure for setting and paying the minimum hourly rate.
