Representatives of Poland took part in the international PDAC Convention trade fair in Toronto, one of the world’s most important events for the mining and natural resources sector. The Polish delegation included representatives of the Polska Agencja Inwestycji i Handlu (PAIH), led by the President of the Agency, Andrzej Dycha.
During the visit, the delegation held a series of meetings with representatives of Canadian institutions and business organizations. Among them were talks with Jon Worren, Vice President of the World Trade Center Toronto, as well as discussions with representatives of the government of Canada responsible for the energy sector.
The discussions focused on opportunities for investment cooperation, the role of critical raw materials in the energy transition, and the potential for collaboration in the nuclear energy sector. Particular attention was given to Canadian CANDU nuclear technology and possible areas of cooperation in this field.
Participants also discussed the growing importance of securing access to critical raw materials necessary for the development of modern technologies and renewable energy systems. These resources are increasingly viewed as a strategic factor for economic security and the green transformation.
The presence of PAIH at the PDAC fair was also an opportunity to promote Poland as an attractive destination for investment and a reliable partner in international cooperation in the energy and mining sectors. Meetings with representatives of Canadian companies and institutions helped strengthen economic ties and identify potential areas for future joint projects.
The PDAC convention is one of the most influential global platforms for dialogue between governments, investors, and companies operating in the mining and energy sectors. Poland’s participation in the event highlights the country’s growing interest in international cooperation in the field of natural resources and energy transformation.
