The Polska Agencja Inwestycji i Handlu (PAIH) has announced the second call for applications in the Polish Technology Bridges (PMT) project, aimed at supporting Polish companies in expanding to selected markets outside the European Union. The initiative is funded under the Fundusze Europejskie dla Nowoczesnej Gospodarki 2021–2027 program.
The program targets micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) registered in Poland that plan to scale their business internationally and develop their presence on global markets. Its goal is to help companies successfully enter new markets through expert advisory services, competence development, and support in establishing business relationships abroad.
New Markets in the Second Call
In the second round of the program, companies can apply for support to expand into four key markets:
the United States
the United Kingdom
Canada
Brazil
These economies offer strong innovation ecosystems and significant potential for scaling business operations and building international brand recognition.
Two-Stage Support for Companies
The Polish Technology Bridges project is implemented in two stages.
Stage one – domestic phase:
Participants take part in a three-day workshop designed to introduce them to the business environment of the selected market. Each company works with experts to prepare an individual export strategy tailored to its capabilities and development goals. Support from PAIH’s Foreign Trade Offices also helps companies establish their first business contacts abroad.
Stage two – international phase:
The next step focuses on implementing the expansion strategy in the target market. Activities may include participation in international trade fairs and business missions, product certification processes, and promotional activities supporting entry into the new market.
Financial Support
Companies participating in the program can receive financial support of up to PLN 180,000 under the de minimis aid scheme. The grant can cover expenses such as advisory services, intellectual property protection, market adaptation of products or services, participation in international events, and promotional activities.
The program aims to strengthen the global competitiveness of Polish companies and help them expand beyond European markets by leveraging expert knowledge, international networks, and financial support.
Applications for the second call can be submitted through the project’s online application system until 13 April 2026.
