After year of running trial shop in Warsaw, Muji’s representative announces the expansion to other polish cities.
- Commercial results are better and better from month to month, what means that the market has positively accepted the brand. - Tomasz Czerwinski, Muji’s representative says. - We are going to launch three new shops in next five years. We consider Cracow, Poznan, Wroclaw or Trojmiato - he adds.
- Japanese chain sells simple goods, both in design and look. Under the brand we can find stationery, clothing, domestic products and furniture. The word “Muji” translated to English means “good product without a name”.
Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone (WSEZ) plans to attract twice more investments than in 2010. Currently issued permissions are valued at 800 million zlotys and number of declared jobs is counting to 700. The SEZ will improve last-year result by finaliziation of negotiations with Mando Corporation, steering and brake system producer. The Koreans will start building a factory on 13 ha site near Wałbrzych. The factory is planned to launch in 2013. In next two years, it will create 300 jobs.

Boeing considers an investment in Poland - plane producer's representatives visited Poland three years ago and now they are back. A real chance for the next factory exists.
- Those were decision-making people, what means that the company treats seriously the investment. So far, they examine what could be placed in Poland. The real chance for plane part factory exists. In 2-3 months the company is going to make introductory decisions - Teresa Kaminska, PSSE president says.
Poland’s capital city ranked 5th in Europe and 12th in the world in the ranking of top cities for business published by CB Richard Ellis!

Out of the 280 big international concerns which were covered by the survey 150 operate in Poland’s capital city (i.e. 54% of the selected companies) what gives Warsaw 12th position in the ranking. Hong Kong which came 1st hosts 192 i.e. 86% of the surveyed companies. Singapore which ranked 2nd was followed by Tokyo. Warsaw was the 5th best from among European cities which ranked high in the ranking and was outperformed only by London (4th position), Moscow (6 position), Madrid (8th position) and Paris (10th position).
Weyerhaeuser starts construction of its first European production facility in Gdańsk. The factory will be the most modern facility of its kind in the world.
On 2 August 2011, the ceremony of laying a foundation stone for the construction of a new modified fibres processing facility took place in the premises of Weyerhaeuser Poland Company located at the MASZYNOWA Industrial and Technology Park. The foundation act of commencing construction works was signed in the presence of the representatives of US Embassy, Gdańsk authorities, the representatives of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, and guests. The construction site was consecrated by His Eminence Senior Archbishop Tadeusz Gocłowski.
„I am very happy that in this symbolic way we can start the realisation of our investment. I hope that the plant will start its basic production activity in the beginning of 2013.” said Tomasz Włodarczak, Plant Director of Weyerhaeuser Poland, at the ceremony.
